  • How to Relieve Dry Skin. Dry skin is not only treated through lotions and ointments, but can also be treated through improving your daily tasks. Shower that are too hot are not good for your skin, instead warm water is recommended. Cleanse with a gentle soap that is free of fragrance and other additives that may be harmful to your skin. Shave smartly, and the best time to do so is after your shower with shaving cream or gel.  Be sure to cover up in the sun and always moisturize using a lotion or cream. Lastly, during the winter months humidify the air because cold, dry air is a common cause of dry skin. Read more.
